Today we gathered at St Mary's Church for our Year 6 Leavers' Service – a special opportunity to reflect, celebrate and give thanks as we marked the end of another incredible chapter.
Looking around the church, it was impossible not to think back to when these children first joined us in Year 3. Over the past four years they have grown in confidence, kindness and character, embracing every opportunity and truly flourishing into the remarkable young people they are today. We could not be prouder of all they have achieved, and we know they will continue to shine brightly as they begin the next stage of their journey.
Our service was also a chance to say a heartfelt thank you to the members of staff who are leaving our Wenlock family. In particular, we paid tribute to the wonderful Ms Burke and Mr Hudson for the care, commitment and inspiration they have given to our children and school community. They leave behind a lasting legacy, and we wish them every happiness and success in the future.
As a church school, we are reminded that although paths may lead in different directions, we remain united in God's love. We pray that our Year 6 pupils, and our departing staff, go forward with courage, hope and the confidence to be lights for the world.
We wish each and every one of you God's richest blessings for the journey ahead.
